Majida Al Balushi Receives Financial Services Award at Al Mar’a Magazine Excellence Awards 2022

As one of the outstanding Omani leaders at BankDhofar, Majida Issa Al Balushi, AGM - Large Corporate & Corporate Branch at BankDhofar, received the Financial Services Award at Al Mar’a Magazine Excellence Awards 2022. The award recognizes her efforts and successful leadership of the corporate banking services at BankDhofar.

On receiving the award, Majida Issa Al Balushi, AGM - Large Corporate & Corporate Branch at BankDhofar noted: “I am pleased to be one of the winners of this prominent award that recognizes Omani women in various roles and sectors. Banking sector has recently seen a number of Omani women who have exploited the opportunities, proven their capabilities and ascended the ladder to leadership positions. I am proud with the achievements of Omani women, and I am confident that such awards will motivate other women to peruse for success and achievements."

Since joining the banking sector, Majida Al Balushi worked her way up the organizational levels to become the AGM for Large Corporates & Corporate Branches. Majida Al Balushi holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Bedfordshire in the UK. She has attended a number of professional development programmes in leadership and management, including the Leadership Program at Harvard Business School, as well as programmes in Omega Credit, Master-Class for Senior Relationship Managers, Syndication Techniques, Corporate Strategies and Executive Development, Credit Analysis, Financial Maths, Decision Making & Problem Solving, Shareholder’s Equity, Capital Market Instruments, Supervisory Skills Development and Human Resources Management.

The awards ceremony was held at Sheraton Oman Hotel, under the patronage of Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish. Al Mar’a Excellence Awards is a platform to recognize the achievements and entrepreneurial zeal of women in the Sultanate. The awards recognize and encourage Omani women who have conquered the odds and have reached challenging positions in diverse areas like business, government, industry, education and other relevant fields.
