Developing capabilities to enhance customer satisfaction levels

Thus, the Bank has invested in establishing the Performance Academy to provide training and development programs.

Dr. Khalid Salim Al Hamadani, Chief Human Resources Officer added: "We believe that our employees are the true ambassadors of our brand. Thus, the Bank invests in providing various training and talent development courses to the employees through the state-of-the-art Performance Academy which is equipped with the latest facilities to provide internationally certified courses through an advanced digital learning system. In addition, we are committed to making training available to all employees to enhance their professional efficiency, hence providing the best customer services with several tailored, comprehensive training and development programs launched jointly with our strategic partners. We believe that ongoing training and development is the effective way to ensure that our employees are equipped with the required market knowledge and are updated with the ever-changing trends. Additionally, we cater to ensuring the best working environment that guarantees high levels of productivity."

In the first half of 2022, the Academy has conducted over 60 training and development programs and is committed to develop and groom Omani talent for future leadership and functional roles. The Bank continues its focus on executing Competency Based training programs for both Conventional as well as Islamic Banking.

A New Structure that supports the aspirations and national qualifications

To achieve its ultimate vision to be one of the best banks in the Sultanate and to stay at the top of the game, BankDhofar undertook an organizational structure change with a clear focus on investing in developing national competencies. BankDhofar has appointed talented Omanis in high management positions, which supports the Bank's vision to increase the percentage of Omanization within the leadership positions. With the new structure, the Bank is in a position to build on the opportunities for our talents and achieve further business growth.

Today we are proud to say that the Omanization rate in BankDhofar goes above the directives of the Central Bank of Oman, reaching 95%. The Bank is also honored to announce that 84% of the management team that are contributing towards the growth strategy of the Bank are Omanis." Dr. Khalid added.

With the well-founded digital banking infrastructure, BankDhofar has been and will continue to be the pioneer in launching various innovative and exclusive services, products and financial solutions. The Bank has a multi-award-winning Mobile Banking App with unique features that is constantly upgraded in line with market trends. These enhancements include instant international money transfer service via Western Union, cardless cash which is the first service of its kind in the world that enables customers to conduct ATM transactions easily only by using their mobile numbers. It has also launched a flagship drive-thru banking service for the first time in Oman. This drive thru service is the first-of-its-kind in the Sultanate and enables customers to conduct transitions without stepping out of their car, including cash deposit and withdrawal, cheque deposit, instant debit card issuance, bank transfers, and request for account statements, among other services and products.
